The S’Lowdown On: Grove Farm Riding School

Throughout the year we have guests wanting to really embrace the outdoors life and go for a hack through the countryside, or have a horse riding lesson.
There are several riding stables in the area that we can recommend but our favourite is Grove Farm Riding school which is less than 15 minutes’ drive from Swallowtail Hill.
Visiting children from towns and cities often haven’t been riding before and it is quite literally a dream come true for them to have a lesson. You can rest assured that the team at Grove Farm will have the perfect pony for your youngster. We love seeing kids returning from their time at the stables as they are always absolutely bursting with delight at having spent the most magical time.
But it isn’t just for kids! We often have adult guests who really want to embrace the countryside life while they are here and either resurrect a hobby they had as a child, or give horse riding a go for the very first time.

Thoughts on a Slow Start to the New Year
Swallowtail Hill regulars will know that we’re all about tapping into life lived more slowly. We call it the S’Lowdown as it’s the special Swallowtail Hill flavour of taking things at a pace that doesn’t leave us frazzled and disconnected.
So I regularly disappear from socials – because if I’m entirely honest – being a slave to the scroll doesn’t really match up to our values and it’s all too easy to get sucked back in which definitely has an effect on my mood.
Log Off and Look Up: Marketing Nature
This summer has been an eye opener. Not least because it’s been the most challenging one to date for our 14 year old business, but because it has made me question how we communicate the authentic appeal of Swallowtail Hill.
