Swallowtail Hill is a farm like no other. It’s our home and our passion and its landscape is unique

Please note…
The map above has been created by our team and gives you a pretty good idea of where everything is at Swallowtail Hill so you can see how private your accommodation is, or how far you’ll need to walk if you have friends staying in another of our cabins or cottages. For more information on things to do, see and book at Swallowtail Hill see below!
On The Farm

Peaceful walks
Our farm is 50 acres of woodland, grassland and wildflower meadow – definitely worth a walk to explore!

Honesty shop
We’ve a little tuck shop on site selling drinks, snacks and treats – including marshmallows for toasting

George & Buttons
You’ll be able to say hello to George and Buttons our resident donkeys – but please don’t feed them!

Campfire suppers
A glamping break wouldn’t be the same without a campfire supper. You can order BBQ boxes or campfire suppers from us.

Games for hire!
We’ve a range of games to hire from skittles and quoites to giant jenga and molkky

Celebrations
If you’re celebrating something talk to us about booking something special like a cake, decorations or a bottle of fizz
Food & Drink
For some, the chance to cook up a storm on the campfire is an essential part of their short break, for others having a hand with the self-catering is what having a restful holiday is all about. So we offer a range of breakfast boxes, bbq boxes, campfire suppers, picnics and teas that can be ordered in advance of your stay.
All of our grocery boxes contain locally sourced produce, organic where possible. Supplies in our shop are all ethically sourced too – organic, sustainable, palm oil free and local wherever possible.

January 2023 On The Farm
First it was cold, then it was wet, then it was cold and wet. Twenty years ago I’d have rolled my eyes at this version of myself, the version who endlessly talks about the weather…

Winter Rituals – Do You Have Any?!
This time of year is full of ritual – some traditional, some just peculiar to our own homes and families, but all of them observed, enjoyed or treasured in some…

December On The Farm
I feel like I run on adrenaline most days, and without a day without power earlier this week followed by a day without water – we certainly know what it feels like to live off the beaten track.
