We’ve been a bit remiss. We talk a lot about the couples who visit, and the families who stay here. But we welcome lots of solo guests – and absolutely we should be championing them too!

People who visit for solo stays always have a clear idea of what they want from their break – peace and quiet, time to rest, reflect, and the chance to enjoy our beautiful landscape. Not everyone wants a yoga retreat, or a spa break – sometimes it’s just somewhere cosy with no distractions, other than a beautiful view and a roaring campfire.

I doubt it’s a coincidence that we’ve seen a rise in solo travellers since lockdown. We’ve welcomed lots of mums in particular who’ve needed the chance to reset away from the kids for 48 hours – the chance to read a book uninterrupted, take long walks, and have a lie in!

If you’ve not glamped solo before, it can be a daunting idea – you might not be confident with fire lighting for a start, and you might also be hesitant about staying in a cabin that doesn’t have any neighbours. But we’re here to reassure you that we’re always on hand and we’re happy to help with fire lighting.

We’re also very lucky to have our own chef, so if you want to completely de-stress and not worry about cooking – we’ve got you covered. Campfire suppers can be pre-ordered, along with breakfast boxes and all sorts of other treats and snacks can be found in our honesty shop.

Really, what’s stopping you?!  Get in touch.
