Our animal family is very important to us. There are the sheep who graze the grassland and meadows helping to reseed them each year and encouraging diversity of species of wildflower and insect life; Peter, Dinky, Rose, Ivy and Frank.
We have two donkeys – George and Buttons who live a charmed life in a huge field and are endlessly curious about the day-to-day life on the farm.
Then there’s the playful pygmy goats – Frodo and Pippin; our wonderful pig Sue and some bantams to add to the mix too! And last but not least we have two boisterous bouncy Boxer dogs – Tilly and Mungo.
But the wild animals of the farm are super important too - you'll see all sorts of small mammals if you're patient, quiet and look closely enough - voles, weasels, stoats, rabbits, field mice. Then there are foxes and badgers, and a spectacular variety of feathered friends - from buzzards to barn owls and depending on the time of year you visit you may see our swallows or even hear the cuckoo.
Of course you’re welcome to wander around the farm and explore the landscape around you. If you’re keen walkers (or simply want to head for the village pub) we can provide you with maps and point you in the right direction!
From time to time we have additional activities on offer – keep an eye on our news page to see what else might be going on.
