We wanted to create somewhere truly luxurious, somewhere guests could stay year round and enjoy our landscape. It took us two years to bring the idea to life but here she is at last, a gorgeous retreat designed to be the ultimate space to relax in.
The Long View sits in a meadow known as The Eight Acres - because, you guessed, it's eight acres! It's actually the youngest of our wildflower meadows and we've brought it right to your door. The fully glazed end not only gives our guests a beautiful south facing 'Long View' but the bifold doors open to bring the outside in.
A Kingsize bed faces the view so you can lie in bed and watch the sunrise. The headboard of the bed forms a clever room partition. Behind it is a living space with table and chairs that stow when not in use and there's a fully equipped but perfectly compact kitchen area. For couples staying - there's a cosy corner to sit and read, but for families this sofa space becomes children's bunkbeds*. There's a wood burning stove to keep you toasty when the weather is chilly. The shower and loo is ensuite.
Outside there's a covered dining deck and a Kadai firebowl for you to cook outside or simply enjoy a campfire.
And as an added treat - you can book the woodfired hot tub and we'll have it ready for your arrival. Built just for two - it's the perfect way to relax.
* Please note the top bunk is only suitable for children up to ten years old.

Our breaks are self-catering. We provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cereal and kitchen condiments. Guests can order Breakfast Boxes and BBQ boxes before they arrive to make self-catering easier.
All our grocery boxes contain locally sourced produce, organic where possible. We have our own Glampsite Chef who offers a campsite catering service for our guests – meals delivered ready for reheating on your campfire.
Orders must be placed 24 hours’ in advance. Picnic lunches, afternoon teas, and special suppers are also available to pre-order. And if that doesn’t suit we aren’t too far from the local shop.
