For some, a visit to Swallowtail Hill is all about the peace and quiet – the chance to get away from it all and live life at a slower pace for a while.

Pygmy Goats FeedingBut others like to be a little more active.  We often like to offer guests the opportunity to join in with feeding the farm animals.  The activity is weather dependent and during the wetter months when there is too much mud around it’s simply not possible to let guests join in – but when we can we do!  This activity is mainly (although not exclusively) popular with our younger visitors who earn their right to become a Swallowtail Hill Junior Farmer.  No need to book – just turn up at the farm gate at the time marked on the blackboard and provided you are wearing your wellies (compulsory!) you can join in – free of charge.

From time to time we have additional activities on offer  – keep an eye on our news page to see what else might be going on during your visit.

And of course you’re welcome to wander around the farm and explore the landscape around you – if you fancy venturing further afield we can provide you with maps of the local area and point you in the right direction!
