Meadow Keeper's CottageThe Meadow Keeper’s cottage is a one-off. Hand-built by highly skilled local craftsmen with timber sourced from local woods, it’s a quirky cottage-on-wheels.

If you know your fairy stories – think gingerbread cottage and you’ve got the idea.  The cottage sits between two wildflower meadows, next to a pond and is invisible from anywhere else on the farm.

Inside it’s a carefully constructed single space that can accommodate four people.  There’s a double bed, two singles that double up as benches, a small dining table between them, an indoor cooking area with gas hob and sink, a small wardrobe and, for chilly evenings, a log burner.

All bedding, towels, cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery are provided along with a cooler box for your food and drink. We also provide rechargeable lanterns for your use.  Please note that the cottage is totally off-grid – there is no electricity supply.

Open the stable door, and go down the steps to your own fire pit equipped with BonFire cooking kit, and an outdoor dining area.

Meadow Keeper’s cottage has its own private pond – often frequented by Heron, and sometimes visited by Kingfishers – it’s the perfect place for bird watching.  There’s also a little row boat for those feeling adventurous.

There is an outside tap connected to mains drinking water.

Just to the side of the cottage is your own Heath Robinson looking (but extremely effective) log fired shower which we will teach you how to light once you’re here.

And at a discreet distance is your very own compost loo!

Our camping breaks are self-catering but we do provide a welcome pack of groceries to get you started.

We also offer guests the chance to purchase Breakfast Boxes and BBQ boxes to make self-catering easier.   All our grocery boxes contain locally sourced produce, organic where possible.

We also have a fabulous local chef who offers a campsite catering service for our guests – home-cooked meals delivered ready for reheating on your campfire.  Orders must be placed 24 hours’ in advance.

Picnic lunches, afternoon teas, and special suppers are also available at an extra cost.

And if that doesn’t suit we aren’t too far from the local shop.
